

Board of Critics
The members of the Board of Critics will select their Grand Prix candidate from among participants in Stage 3 and 4 and present him/her with the Board of Critics’ award (3 000 euro gross).
Adam Olaf Gibowski
Musicologist and music critic. Collaborated with the Gazeta Wyborcza daily and Ruch Muzyczny monthly, now works for the www.kulturaupodstaw.pl portal. Co-author of several documentaries, author of commentaries to programmes of symphony concerts and operas. His music interests are focused mainly on the history and performance of the 19th-century music, philosophy of music and works of contemporary Polish composers.
Jacek Hawryluk
Music critic, Deputy Director of Polish Radio’s Channel 2. Author of such recognised programmes, as “Płytomania” [Recordmania], “Płytowy Trybunał Dwójki” [The Two’s Record Tribunal] and “W Tonacji Trójki” [In the Key of the Three], he is member of the HCH radio music commentator duo. Writes for the “Gazeta Wyborcza” and “Ruch Muzyczny” magazine. Father of Kajtek and Kostek, he lives in Pyry.
Robert Kamyk
Journalist, producer, and musicologist. Head of the Music Department of Channel TVP Kultura, responsible for the coverage of the International F. Chopin Piano Competition and the H. Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznań. Originator of The Young Musician of the Year and The Young Dancer of the Year projects that promote aspiring musicians and dancers. Juror at renowned TV festivals such as the European preliminary round of judging for the International Emmy Awards, Rose d’Or Festival, and the Golden Prague.
Konrad Mielnik
Producer and music journalist, graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Artistic Director and head of the Department of Culture of Polish Radio Gdańsk. Originator and director of Gdańsk Music Festival. Winner and juror of international radio competitions including Shanghai International Radio Music Festival and Deutsche Welle World Music Award. He also collaborates with other media and organizers of major artistic events in Poland.
Jakub Puchalski
Critic and music journalist, historian of culture, permanent contributor to “Tygodnik Powszechny” and music periodicals, he also collaborates with numerous festivals, (incl. Wratislavia Cantans, Misteria Paschalia, or Kromer Festival). Lecturer on subjects associated with history and reception of music and art (Jagiellonian University). Former employee of Małopolski Instytut Kultury [Małopolska Institute of Culture], in 2007/2008 he co-founded the book dept. of PWM [Polish Music Publishers], with which he currently collaborates. Between 2010 and 2013, he was consultant of Capella Cracoviensis.
Adam Rozlach
Journalist, reviewer, presenter at concerts and festivals, commentator at the International F. Chopin Piano Competition for Polish Radio since 1985, presenter for channel TVP Kultura. Originator of the “Na czarno-białej klawiaturze” piano magazine, juror of the Paszport Polityki and Fryderyk awards. Awarded by the Polish Radio Programme Board for a series of programmes “Koncert Chopinowski” and promoting the greatest classical music works. Recipient of the Silver Cross of Merit “for his merits to Polish Radio” (2012).
Dorota Szwarcman
Journalist and music critic, graduate of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting and Music Theory at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw; she works for “Polityka” magazine and runs a music blog called Co w duszy gra. She has written for “Ruch Muzyczny”, “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Wprost”, “Tygodnik Powszechny”, “Jazz Forum” and for “Midrasz” publishing house and the Polish Music Publishing.
