This is the obituary we intended to publish in one of the national dailies. On second thought, however, we decided to put the money to a better use. Wanda Wiłkomirska spent the final part of her life at the Veteran Artist Home in Skolimów. In recognition of the excellent care provided for the artist in her autumn years, we have chosen to donate the funds to the Veteran Artist Fund, which runs the Home.

The funeral of the late Wanda Wiłkomirska will take place in Warsaw on Tuesday, May 15th at 2 PM. The ceremony will be held at the funeral home at the Powązki Cemetery. Next, the artist will will be buried in the old part of the cemetery.
