

Ji Hwan Park (South Korea) – 1st and 2nd Prize Winner of 13th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Making Competition (2016)
Park Ji Hwan was born in Daejeon, South Korea on November 19, 1982. In 2005 he started his studies at International Violin Making School ‘I.P.I.A.L.L’ in Cremona; he graduated in 2010 under the guidance of Massimo Negroni. During next year he studied under Michele Dobner. He opened his own workshop in Cremona where he currently works.
Prizes:
2010 – Bronze Medal (viola), 4th Pisogne Italian National Violin Making Competition
2011 – Silver Medal and award for the best sound (violin), 5th Pisogne Italian National Violin Making Competition
2013 – 6th Prize (violin), 5th ‘Violino Arvenzis’ Violin Making Competition in Slovakia
2015 – Honorable mention (violin), 14th Triennale in Cremona
2016 – 1st and 2nd Prize (violin), 13th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Making Competition
